This painting (click on it to view larger) is of the Amphitheater and Street Lamp, with the school in the background. In Italian it reads: 'Lampada di via e del Amphitheatre'. When painting this, I began to feel as though I had laid every stone of the amphitheater! It was a bit tedious. Eventually I'll learn how to do this fast, but right now, when I paint, it takes 'forever'. I love painting, but sometimes I think I'm too slow at this. How do other artists finish a painting in a day? It takes me weeks...okay, months?
